Vision Woodworking acquires Monarch Wood Products

FRIDLEY, Minn. — Vision Woodworking Inc. has acquired longtime partner Monarch Wood Products located in St. Paul, Minn.

Vision Woodworking, Inc. has been in business since 1994 serving the store fixture industry with a focus on high end luxury retail, mid-range furniture, architectural millwork and business environments. Monarch Wood Products has been manufacturing store and commercial fixtures for 28 years.

The company said, “Customers will continue to benefit from excellent project management, streamlined manufacturing processes for engineered products as well as superior quality with design and build capabilities.

Roger Ohmann will manage the customer accounts transferred from Monarch Wood Products. Offers of employment have been extended to all Monarch Wood Products employees and several employees have accepted as the business transaction proceeds. The St. Paul site has closed permanently and all operations will be transferred to the Vision Woodworking, Inc. manufacturing campus in Fridley.

Vision Woodworking, Inc. produced the experiential store fixtures and custom solid surface sinks for L’Occitane’s award-winning design in Yorkdale Mall, Toronto. In 2019, Vision Woodworking won a Spectrum Design Award from the Retail Design Institute for the L’Occitane 555 5th Ave site in New York. Additionally, he produced the store environment for an Italian Ippolita jewelry experience store in Chicago, which was named the winner of the 2021 International Design Competition in the Innovation Award for Fixturing category.

In 2018, Vision Woodworking Inc. assisted related companies with design, construction and architectural services for 13 stores in the Hudson Yard shopping center in New York, as well as the implementation of a kiosk program for the central commercial space of the mall.

Monarch Wood Products is known for producing automotive dealership accessories and environments for a local Twin Cities automotive supply company.
